In Michigan Dec. 16, the
legislature reached a deal to provide$58 million in emergency heating
assistance for needy residents. The Associated Press reports that Gov.Rick Snydersigned the legislation Dec. 20,
creating a Vulnerable Household Warmth Fund for this winter only to help about
95,000 low-income Michigan
residents.
