State Water Heaters named the 2014 winner of a $2,500 scholarship for students pursuing plumbing/heating/cooling-related studies: David Sadin of San Diego, Calif.
Sadin is working full-time at Bill Howe Plumbing and is enrolled at the PHCC Apprentice Academy of San Diego. His instructors commend his love of learning and level of commitment as keys to his future success in the plumbing industry.
“State Water Heaters believes in supporting those in our profession, especially as they are getting their start,” said Jeff Storie, senior manager of contractor and consumer marketing for State Water Heaters. “Helping an apprentice with the cost of getting good training is one way we deliver that support.”
The Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors Educational Foundation administers the scholarship program and is responsible for selecting the award winners. The scholarship program is designed to attract the new talent essential to the future of the plumbing and HVACR industry.
