AB&I Foundry in celebration of women in engineering, manufacturing, and the skilled trades, has developed an iron woman character named “Rose”.

Their presence in every aspect of the trades from design and manufacturing to executive leadership to turning wrenches and fitting pipe is often overshadowed in predominantly male fields.

Danielle Putnam, president of Women in HVACR and The New Flat Rate, gave the keynote address at the Ninth Annual Celebrating Women in the Mechanical Trade Industry Luncheon.

Putnam co-founded The New Flat Rate with her father and pricing enthusiast, Rodney Koop. 

ASPE created Women of ASPE in 2015 to engage, retain, and advance women in the plumbing design industry.

Nominations are now open through Oct. 5, 2018.

VanderMolen is the second A. O. Smith employee to receive a STEP Ahead award. 

The Third Annual Women in Energy Conference will be held May 20-21 in Mashantucket, Connecticut.
