Plumbing-and-heating brands familiar to U.S. contractors, engineers, wholesalers and manufacturers reps were among the 2,482 exhibitors at ISH 2017 taking place March 14-18 in Frankfurt, Germany. Overall, 65% of the exhibitors and 39% of attendees came from outside Germany.
Many of these companies originated in Europe and later opened North American sales, distribution and manufacturing operations. Others originated in the United States and are seeking to enlarge their footprint internationally, either through direct sales or a wider network of representation. BNP Media’s Plumbing Group visited many of these booths during ISH 2017.
In the plumbing and piping exhibit halls, companies included: Dornbracht, Duravit, Grohe, Hansa, Hansgrohe, Ideal Standard, KWC, Franke, TOTO, Villeroy & Boch, and Vitra as well as Geberit, Georg Fischer, Lenox Tools, MIFAB, Milwaukee Electric Tool, REHAU, RIDGID Tools, Rothenberger, Roth, Reliance Worldwide Corp., Uponor and Viega.
In halls devoted to energy-saving heating equipment, brands included: Bosch-Buderus, Daikin Europe, Grundfos, Mitsubishi Electric, Riello, Robert Bosch, Stiebel Eltron, Taco, Viessmann, Wilo, and Zehnder in addition to Belimo, Caleffi, Honeywell, Johnson Controls and Siemens.
Also represented at the show were organizations that offer product testing and certification services such as IAPMO and NSF International.
The massive Messe Frankfurt fairgrounds comprise 10 exhibition halls and 6,373,602 sq. ft. of space.
